Wolfgang Chur has been a member of the Board of Management of Robert Bosch GmbH since July 1, 1999. His responsibilities include the Consumer Goods and Building Technology business sector, with its Power Tools, Security Systems, and Thermotechnology divisions, and the Bosch Siemens Hausgeräte GmbH joint venture. His corporate responsibilities also include marketing communication and brand management. In addition, he has regional responsibility for the subsidiaries in Middle Eastern Europe/Russia, as well as in the UK, France, Spain, and Austria.
Wolfgang Chur was born in Stuttgart, Germany, on January 4, 1947. He is married and has two children. After leaving school in 1966 and spending two years with the German armed forces, he studied Business Administration at the University of Nuremberg, where he took his diploma in 1973. His professional career began with Braun AG in Kronberg (Taunus), Germany, where he worked as a product manager until 1977.
