Gerhard Kümmel has been a member of the Board of Management of Robert Bosch GmbH since mid-2002. He has corporate responsibility for business administration, finance and financial statements, as well as planning and controlling. In addition, he has responsibility for finance and administration at the Chassis Systems Brakes and Chassis Systems Control divisions.

Gerhard Kümmel was born in Esslingen, Germany, on March 17, 1948. He is married and has two children. After leaving school in 1968, he studied Business Administration at the University of Saarbrücken, where he took his diploma in 1973.
