Junior Managers Program (JMP)

As the Department Head, I am responsible for the value stream Glow Plug and Material Processing located in the Higashi-Matsuyama Plant in Japan. My team ensures customer needs are met in terms of quality and delivery while keeping profitability in mind. Our work includes machine investment, ramp-up, digitalization, continuous improvement, and quality inspection. We frequently collaborate with various departments, including development and other international Bosch plants, to achieve the best results together.

During my two years in the JMP, I held various roles closely linked to production in both Japan and Germany. This gave me a great overview of how everything is interlinked and enabled me to establish a network within the Bosch Group. Understanding the different perspectives that come from different roles and work cultures has shaped the mindset I have today. Whenever it’s time to lead transformation, having this mindset makes a big difference. I believe the intense two years in the JMP are a great way to start your career at Bosch.

As the Office Assistant for our Executive Management, I oversee the coordination and alignment of all activities within our inner circle. My role involves managing relationships, providing strategic guidance, and facilitating decision-making processes to ensure the efficient execution of our strategy.

The JMP is not a ticket to a management position, but an opportunity to prove aptitude: it is up to you to get the most out of it.

In the JMP, the dynamic rotation allowed me to step into the shoes of colleagues from different functions and regions, gaining valuable insights along the way. Through this experiential journey, I've not only improved my skills but also gained clarity on my passions and strengths. It's been a transformative experience, guiding me towards roles where I can make meaningful contributions. The JMP isn't just a program; it's a pathway to personal and professional growth, offering a unique opportunity to explore and evolve.

As a manufacturing consultant, I work for different Bosch locations and am integrated in several multicultural teams. Since the beginning of 2023, I have been working at Bosch Industry Consulting, which provides services for all manufacturing-related topics, from the development phase to the end of product life, for both internal and external Bosch customers. Previously, I worked at Aranjuez, a plant located 50 km south of Madrid, where I held various roles in a manufacturing department, including product planner, manufacturing planning group leader, and project manager.

During my JMP I worked in several manufacturing and logistics departments across Europe. This is something I feel was a big advantage as a newcomer to Bosch and it helped me understand us as a global company. You get the opportunity of creating a wide international network from the very beginning and, as it is highly unlikely that anybody can solve everything by himself, knowing a lot of people with different backgrounds in different locations is very useful.

I had, and still have, a very good relationship with my mentor. This is a major benefit of the JMP: having a more experienced mentor guide you throughout the program and beyond is truly a privilege.
