Bosch Research at IROS
Bosch Research presents two workshops at IROS to promote scientific knowledge and the exchange of innovative ideas in robotics.
IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems (IROS 2023) taking place from October 1 to 5, 2023 in Detroit, USA and virtually.
IROS serves as a prominent platform where the global robotics research community convenes to delve into the forefront of scientific advancements and technological breakthroughs in intelligent robots and smart machines. With a strong focus on future directions, the conference showcases the latest approaches, designs and outcomes.
Bosch Research is co-organizing two workshops. The workshop Policy Learning in Geometric Spaces will be held on October 1st and serves as a significant gathering for researchers and practitioners in the robotics field. It addresses the continuous evolution of robotics and the growing need for robots to effectively operate in complex, 3D environments. A key aspect of this is the robots' capability to learn policies for tasks such as grasping, manipulation, and motion planning.
The second workshop Traffic Agent Modeling for Autonomous Driving Simulation is scheduled for October 5th. With a primary focus on the pivotal role of simulation in accelerating the development of Autonomous Driving (AD) algorithms, this workshop highlights the significance of realistic traffic agent models. These models play a crucial role in bridging the gap between simulated environments and real-world scenarios. By enabling comprehensive evaluation of AD algorithms, they make significant contributions to the safe deployment of autonomous vehicles.
